Olympic Complex upgrading works |
This
page presents the photographic journal of the upgrading
works at the Athens Olympic Sports Complex (AOSC) and
the Olympic Stadium in particular.
As you may well know, stadia.gr followed closely the progress of works at the AOSC and all other Olympic venues from their very early stages. Back then, when the media mentioned nothing about Calatrava's arcs, when nearly no one knew what the Agora was, when... when... Back then, one's sole source of information would be a personal visit to the AOSC worksite or the (now legendary!) webcam of Bung.de! Then people began to get interested in Olympic works, helicopters of TV stations brought in the first aerial pictures... and the rest is history! The presentation that follows is in the form of thumbnails. You may click on any of them to enlarge the photo and view it in full size. This way makes it easier for you to directly compare what the AOSC and the Olympic Stadium looked like through the course of works. |
